better decisions for an uncertain world
How do you take your decisions?
-
You have accountability for due diligence.
You are in a position of trusted advisor, auditor, assurer with a due diligence role or technical approval role.
Teams come to you with opaque requests about budget / decisions / approvals.
You encounter a lack of transparency on essentials, with a risk of poor-quality decision making.
You sense that the business loses value by making poor decisions.
You need the transparency that DQ brings you. You need the common language. This allows you to ask the right questions and know what to probe for in order to achieve assurance.
-
You have accountability for project delivery.
You do have decision accountability for your projects.
You are worried, perhaps even stressed, about missing targets, and overlooking risks. Outcomes of your decisions will determine your performance rating.
You struggle to consistently communicate the right prioritisation in what seems a fire-fighting focused business environment.
You need the transparency that DQ brings you. You need clear alignment in your team, and with your company. You want to convey a message with clarity and conviction.
-
You have accountability for skills development.
You see the business struggling to make consistent decisions in an ever-changing business environment.
You are concerned about the decision-making skills in your company.
You may also believe that good decision making is an executive’s key skill. Good gutfeel. But you also do believe that a good process adds value.
You may be aware of DQ, but if so then you miss the detail; you don’t have a pitch.
You want to shape the organisational journey towards DQ, and better decision making in your company.
About Jean-Paul Koninx - Founding Partner of DecisionQraft
We shape our lives through the decisions we make.
Over the past three decades I worked and lived around the world, working in the Energy industry in many projects and joint ventures; in Exploration and Development; in a wide variety of global and local, technical and leadership positions.
Understanding and navigating uncertainty was and is at the core of my work, and since 2012 I had a role as global expert on Value of Information and Uncertainty Management. I am an accredited Decision Analysis / Decision Quality Lead Practitioner (Society of Decision Professionals).
Decision Quality as a concept is not new, but in many industries it is still novel, or even unheard of. Even more so in the public sector or in education. Over the years I have become passionate about quality decision making under uncertainty, both professionally and privately. It gives me great joy to bring clarity and transparency to projects, to colleagues, to friends, to young people when they struggle with uncertainty, overwhelm or indecision. That is what I do.
Helping you Craft Quality Decisions.
